Fort Necessity

We visited Fort Necessity. It was the sight of a battle that was important for two reasons. It was the first battle of the French and Indian War and the only time George Washington surrendered. No wonder looking at that fort.

Oktoberfests

The weekend of September 20th there was an Oktoberfest happening in Munich, the Bavarian Grill and in Addison. Since we couldn't get to any of those we had to find another one. Luckily for us one of the breweries in Pittsburgh had one. It was pretty wild. They sold "pitchers" of beer that looked like plastic milk containers. Some people poured into glasses from them, others just drank from them. That, plus the fact that the band played Ein Prosit between each song made for a pretty wild night. They also played the original Steelers fight song which was to the tune Pennsylvania Polka, it was hilarious.

The next day we went to another one in Canonsburg PA. It was much tamer, to say the least. A band of button accordions.

Church Brew Works

Visited one of the most unusual places for a microbrewery that we have seen.

Pittsburgh

We spent several days in Pittsburgh. Saw Ft Pitt, the three rivers, the baseball field and the football stadium.
