Dogs

People in California love their dogs. We see them everyplace. All of the outdoor eating areas and sometimes even in stores and restaurants. There is a big brown dog that even stands guard (more accurately lays guard) at the local liquor store. A strange thing though is that they are not allowed on the beaches. Of course alcohol is not allowed on the beaches either. That tells you something about the people that make the rules in California. It sure isn't South Padre.








They have one great thing though. This is something that we had thought of while walking two dogs on hot summer days in Plano. Since that is such a politically correct city it should have them. Doggie drinking fountains!!! As you can see in the picture, there is an adult level, a child level and a dog level. Of course as you can see in the last picture you have to have a dog that is smart enough to use it!! That wouldn't be a problem with any of the dogs we know.
